NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — Attendees at the 2025 annual meeting of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) are in for a high-energy, high-impact session this September when internationally recognized vascular access expert and PICC Excellence CEO Nancy Moureau, RN, PhD, BSN, CRNI, CPUI, VA-BC, takes the stage to present a streamlined approach to ultrasound-guided peripheral IV (UGPIV) insertions. Her 20-minute presentation, “Speed and Safety for Ultrasound-Guided PIV and Probe Protection,” will be held on Thursday, September 18, from noon to 12:20 p.m. CDT in the exhibit hall’s Innovation Theater.
Presented by Parker Laboratories, Moureau’s session will focus on accelerating emergency department workflows while elevating patient safety using UltraDrape® or UltraDrape II® UGPIV barrier and securement dressings. UltraDrape streamlines the insertion process by combining barrier protection with securement, simplifying procedures and reducing the risk of contamination during ultrasound-guided vascular access.

Originally developed by Parker to provide probe protection during UGPIV procedures, UltraDrape has evolved into a tool that streamlines the entire process from prep to dressing.
